木橘叶精油的产量和品质与产地和采收季节密切相关。Kathirvel等【1】发现,生长在印度西高止山地区的木橘精油化学成分主要是对薄荷-1,4(8)-二烯(33.2%)、柠檬烯(13.1%)、对伞花素-α-醇(9.5%)、γ-古芸烯(7.9%)和β-水芹烯(4.3%),而产自印度北部的木橘精油主要成分为柠檬烯(31.0-90.3%)、α-水芹烯(< 0.05-43.5%)、(E)-β-罗勒烯(0.7-7.9%)、α-蒎烯(< 0.05-7.5%)、(E)-石竹烯(0.5-5.3%)【2】。
不同国家的蓝桉精油中1,8-桉树脑含量不同,突尼斯53.7%、德国14.5%,印度33.6%-66.7%、巴西71%【3】、坦桑尼亚为51.62%【4】。澳大利亚、摩洛哥或布隆迪的柠檬桉精油中可以发现高浓度的香茅醛、香茅醇和乙酸香茅酯【5】。中国柠檬桉精油中,香茅醛在精油中占比最大(57%),其次为香茅醇(15.89%)、乙酸香茅酯(15.33%)等【6】。尼泊尔和东亚地区的日本柳杉叶精油主要成分分别为贝壳杉烯和榄香醇,而法国科西嘉岛的桧烯和α-蒎烯含量高于贝壳杉烯【7】。北印度产的狭叶白千层叶精油中1,8-桉树脑(77.4%)是主要成分,而巴西产的狭叶白千层叶精油中甲基丁香酚(86.8%)为主要成分【8】。
不同的气候和生态环境下,不同种类的白千层精油成分表现出较大的差异。澳大利亚和巴西有甲基丁香酚(99%)和(E)-甲基异丁香酚(88%)化学型;古巴有绿花白千层醇(28.2%)和1,8-桉叶油素(21.3%)化学型;泰国有异松油烯(29.21%)和α-松油烯(22.55%)化学型的长叶白千层;埃及和印度尼西亚爪哇岛有1,8-桉叶油素(44.76 ~ 64.30%)化学型;印度北部山麓长叶白千层精油主要由氧化倍半萜烯(81.23-93.50%)和倍半萜烃(1.84-11.41%)组成,而北印度的(E)-橙花叔醇(76.58-90.85%)是主要成分【9】。
根据香樟叶精油的主要成分,可将其分为五种化学型:异龙脑、樟脑、1,8-桉叶素、芳樟醇和龙脑。印度勒克瑙记录的香樟叶精油主要成分是樟脑,约占74%【10】;Stubbs等人在澳大利亚东部产的桉叶素化学型精油中发现1,8-桉叶素49.8%【11】;Chen等人发现芳樟醇(26.6%)、1,8-桉叶素(16.8%)、α-松油醇(8.7%)、异龙脑(8.1%)、β-水芹烯(5.1%)和樟脑(5.0%)是香樟叶精油主要成分【12】。印度北部地区(昌迪加尔植物园)柴桂叶精油主要成分为甲基丁香酚(46.65%)、丁香酚(26.70%)、反式肉桂乙酸酯(12.48%)和β-石竹烯(6.26%);北部地区的主要成分为肉桂醛(44.90%)、反式肉桂乙酸酯(25.33%)和苯甲酸苄酯(15.25%)【13】。大多数苯甲酸苄酯品种的精油含有大量的1,8-桉叶素。印度北部平原产的精油仅含有38.1%的1,8--桉叶素和3.7%的α-蒎烯,而喜马拉雅地区的则含有大量的1,8-桉叶素(66.32%)和α-蒎烯(18.7%),这种1,8-桉叶素含量的巨大差异可能是气候因素的结果【14】。
